Acupuncture and pregnancy.
I know that some acupuncture practitioners decline to treat during pregnancy. Whilst, in some ways, this is understandable it seems a shame because treatment can be beneficial for so many problems at this time. At a time when any expectant mum is concerned about taking medications for sickness, nausea, pain (to name just a few symptoms) a few trips to a qualified acupuncturist could be very helpful.
During my practice I have had the privilege to treatment many mums-to-be and it is wonderful to know that whilst treating mum, babe is also getting a helping hand.
If you are pregnant and have uncomfortable symptoms of one sort or another, or if you would just like to support your general health during your pregnancy, pay your acupuncturist a call.
